Mauricio joined the Malaria Atlas Project in November 2020 as an Analyst/Programmer in the Data Engineering team. His focus is on building automated data pipelines and improving performance, robustness and scalability of scientific models.
Before joining MAP he worked at DUG technology, developing tools to monitor and improve managing the HPC cluster. Prior to that, he worked at Fugro RailData developing software that processes raw 3D laser and GNSS/INS data into various products. He obtained his MSc in Sustainable Energy Technology from the Eindhoven University of Technology and BSc in Physics and Astronomy from Utrecht University.
